Hero offers schools the opportunity to personalise aspects of their School Expectation progress reporting.
TO VIEW THE PROGRESS REPORTING OPTIONS
1. Navigate to the Administration menu. If you have a wide-screen device this will already be visible on the left-hand side of your screen. If not, click on the Administration menu icon at the top left-hand side of your screen.
2. Under the heading Options select Progress Reporting
3. If your school wishes to generate School Expectation progress data, set the Enable progress tracking/reporting setting to yes (red) and click the SAVE icon
4. To personalise the colours representing the different expectations, click on a colour band and use the colour picker tools to select a colour you wish to use
.
5. When you have selected your colours, click the SAVE icon
The colours will display where teachers manually enter school expectations and view the associated data:
• the Current Expectations page:
• the sorting of a class by expectation:
• the tracking of progress towards expectations:
The Above, At and Below colours will also show on the student's progress chart which is viewable by parents if your school turns this setting on in the What can parents see? page
6. In addition to the colours, schools can also personalise the terminology for each of the expectation labels. To do this simply edit the wording then click the Save icon
This customised wording will display on
• the Current Expectations page:
• the sorting of a class by expectation:
• the tracking of progress towards expectations:
The Above, At and Below labels will also show in two areas on the current year report page which is viewable by parents if the relevant settings have been turned on.
The labels will display in the wording of the expectation statement and/or on the progress chart key
The settings for what is visible to parents can be turned on/off by navigating to the Administration menu > What can parents see? page.
