Digital badging is a great way to help students collect evidence and track their progress towards a set of skills or goals. This feature is built into your Hero software.
Once badges are set up, students access these through their student account and upload evidence to demonstrate how they have met each criterion or goal. When a student has completed the criteria, their teacher can view this then award the badge. When the badge is awarded, it shows as coloured on their student page. If badges are set to be visible to parents, the student can then share their achievement with their family.
WHAT DIGITAL BADGES IN HERO LOOK LIKE
Hero Badges work alongside the goal-setting features.
A badge is a collection of goals organised into categories. For example, a Badge could be for "Level 1 Reading" or for "Digital Citizen" or for "Librarian"
Once a badge is awarded it will appear in the student's Assessment Overview and is shown on the student's home page for staff, students, and caregivers.
Badge images exist for all curriculum areas and custom ones can be added so that schools can reflect their local curriculum.
