Event permissions are permissions that the caregiver needs to provide approval for specifically for the event. School Hero Administrators can manage the event permissions that are available to be used in events from the Events Library. New permissions that are created when making a new event will be added here automatically.
ADDING A NEW EVENT PERMISSION IN THE EVENTS LIBRARY
- Navigate to the Events Library in the Administration menu and select Permissions from the dropdown options
Here you will find a list of any event permissions that already exist in your events library
- To create a new event permission click the red + button
Enter the name of your Permission in the Permission Label e.g.
Enter what you would like caregivers to see for this permission in the Permission Label (for caregivers) e.g.
Select your permission type
Select the Permission Type from one of the following options:
Radio boxes - small circle to be clicked (single selection only)
e.g.
Checkbox(es) - small square boxes to be clicked (multiple boxes can be selected)
e.g.
- Select - a dropdown list of options will be displayed for selection (single selection only)
Switch - a slider which must be either On or Off. This differs to a Radio Button which can be blank
e.g.
Number - a number value must be entered (select from Integers (whole numbers) or decimal numbers)
e.g.
Enter Permission Options if prompted. Radio Boxes, Checkboxes and Select will all require options to be added. Enter the name in the Label field. The name will default to the Value field. Click the plus to add the option.
Note: remember to click the plus on your last option to save it as an option
8. Click SAVE PERMISSION to save
EDITING A PERMISSION
To edit an event permission in the Permissions library:
Click the Pencil icon next to the permission you would like to edit
- Make any required changes and click SAVE PERMISSION
To delete event permission in the Permissions library:
Click the rubbish bin icon next to the permission you would like to delete
Confirm by clicking DELETE or click CANCEL to go back.
Note: Deleting a permission cannot be undone.
If the buttons are greyed out, this means the permission is already linked to an event and cannot be edited or removed at this time.
