An event template can be applied to an event description as a starting point for providing information about the event. Event Templates can be created by any staff member with Hero Administration rights.
CREATING A NEW EVENT TEMPLATE
Navigate to the Events Library in the Administration menu and select Templates from the dropdown options
Here you will see any templates that already exist in your events library
Click the red plus icon to create a new template
Enter a Label to identify your template
Add a description in the text box. You are able to use the following placeholders which will automatically populate the description of a new event with the details already entered:
"{EVENT_NAME}" - will add the name of the specific event
"{TRANSPORT}" - will add the mode of transport specified in the event definition
Click SAVE TEMPLATE
Your template will now be available to select as a Description when creating or editing an event
EDITING A TEMPLATE
To edit an event template:
Click the pencil icon next to the template you would like to edit
- Make any required changes and click SAVE TEMPLATE
- Editing an event template will NOT change any events that have already been created using the template
To delete an event template:
Click the rubbish bin icon next to the template you would like to delete
Confirm by clicking DELETE or click CANCEL to go back
Note: Deleting a permission cannot be undone
