Hero gives users several secure sign in options to keep your data safe as well as convenient.
With the option of using our Single Sign-On flow with your Google Account, you are able to access Hero at the click of a button.
You will still have the option to sign into your Hero account with your email address and password in addition to signing in with your Google account.
TO SIGN INTO HERO WITH YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT
1. Access the Hero sign in screen through your Hero by LINC-ED App or via your web browser (at go.linc-ed.com). You may need to log out of your current session by clicking on your profile image in the top right corner > LOG OUT
2. Click GOOGLE
3. You will now be taken to the Google authentication process. You will be signed straight into Hero if possible. If not, you may be required to enter your Google Password and authenticate your account or confirm which Google account you would like to use to sign into Hero.
Note: Your Google Account email must be the same email address that you have on your Hero account.
WHAT DO I DO IF I CAN'T SIGN IN?
These are the most common reasons that a user is unable to sign into Hero with their Google Account.
Issue: You attempt to sign into Hero with your Google Account and you see the message "Couldn't find your Google Account"
Reason: the email address you have entered is not associated with a Google account.
1. Check you have entered your email address correctly.
2. You may need to create a Google account if you would like to use this option. Ensure that you update your email address in Hero accordingly by contacting your School Administrator.
Issue: You sign into your Google Account and rather than being taken to Hero, you are redirected to the sign in screen and see the message "The email address you have entered is not associated with a Hero account. Please check you have entered the correct details. If this is unsuccessful, please contact your school for further assistance."
Reason: The email address of your Google Account is not associated with a user in Hero.
1. Ensure you have entered your email address correctly.
2. Check the email address in Hero matches your Google Account. If you are not a Hero Administrator you will need to contact your School Administrator to make any changes.
Note: due to technical restrictions implemented by Google, this feature is not currently available on the iOS app for iPhone and iPad.
