EXPORTS are the formatted files required for sending to an external agency. They currently exist for NZCER, e-asTTle, Identity Data Export Download and MoE Attendance survey.
ACCESSING EXPORTS
1. Click on the Quick Links icon (three lines) located on the right-hand side of the screen.
2. Click on List Builder
3. Click on EXPORTS
EXPORTING LISTS FOR EXTERNAL AGENCIES
These lists are designed to meet the requirements of a third party for you to download and send without opening the file. Opening the downloaded file may result in corruption of your data.
NZCER DOWNLOAD
This export meets the requirements of NZCER for uploading test scores to their website.
To produce this:
1. Click NZCER OPTIONS
2. Select the applicable class/es, year level/s and specify which term the test will be taken. Choose either your school uses Preferred Names or Legal Names when uploading your students. It is important that this remains consistent for the students to be found in the future.
3. Click GENERATE FILE TO DOWNLOAD. The download file will need to be uploaded to the NZCER website.
E-ASTTLE DOWNLOAD
This report meets the requirements of e-aSTTle for schools to upload so that the student details in e-asTTle are kept up to date with the details in Hero.
To produce this:
1. Click E-ASTTLE OPTIONS
2. Select the applicable class/es
3. Click GENERATE FILE TO DOWNLOAD. This file will download in the format .ast which you will not be able to open and will need to be uploaded to the e-asTTle website.
IDENTITY DATA EXPORT (IDE) DOWNLOAD
This export is the required format to extract user data for the IAM integration and PaCT data transfers.
To produce this:
1. Click IDE OPTIONS
2. Use the slider to state if you want to include staff records and select the applicable class/es
3. Click GENERATE FILE TO DOWNLOAD.
REPORTS FOR THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
Each year your school will be asked to produce an Attendance Survey file for the Ministry of Education. This data can also be used as part of your Roll Return audit.
To produce this:
1. Click on ATTENDANCE SURVEY FOR THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION.
2. Enter the date range that has been requested by the MOE.
3. Click DOWNLOAD CSV REPORT. The download file will need to be sent to the MOE. It is in a format that is not able to be opened by you.
