Milestones define the data collection periods you will use to track progress through a student's time at school. You may require different curriculum content subjects to have different data collection periods in which case you can set a different milestone set for each.
Note: your Milestones/Expectations need to be unlocked in order to edit Milestone sets. Please contact the Hero Helpdesk if you wish to edit these settings.
TO CREATE A NEW MILESTONE SET FOR COLLECTING DATA
1. Navigate to Milestones/Expectations in the Administration Menu
2. Select MILESTONES from the options across the top of the screen
3. Select (+) NEW SET
4. Give the new milestone set a meaningful name
5. Click SAVE MILESTONE SET to save
TO ADD A MILESTONE:
1. Click the + symbol at the bottom right-hand side of the screen
2. Enter the name for your milestone and the timeframe for which you wish to collect the data
3. If you wish to have the milestone show as an interim assessment (e.g. 20 weeks or mid Year 1) click the slider on. This will indicate as red
4. Enter the year level and date or the number of weeks/months at school for the data to collate as applicable
Click SAVE MILESTONE
TO RE-ORDER MILESTONES:
1. Click ENABLE SORTING
2. Click and drag the rows into the order you require
3. Click STOP SORTING
TO DELETE A MILESTONE:
1. For the milestone you wish to remove, select DELETE at the end of the row
2. Confirm the deletion by clicking YES, DELETE THIS MILESTONE
