Hero takes data security very seriously. For this reason all staff will need to enter a 6-digit MFA code when signing into Hero using any method. This will be sent via email to the email address provided.
Users are able to log in using their Google or Microsoft account. See these instructions for more info:
TO SET YOUR PASSWORD FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Open your browser and enter go.linc-ed.com
Alternatively, if you are using a phone, download the Hero by LINC-ED app from the app store
Note: use the keywords Hero LINC-ED when searching for the app
2. Enter your staff email address
3. Click NEXT
4. Click NEW USER
5. Verify your school email address and click SUBMIT
6. You will see a message confirming a password email has been sent
7. Go to your inbox and open the HERO Password Reset Request email
If you do not receive a Hero Password Reset email, first check your spam folder. If you do not receive the email, contact your school's Hero administrator to verify the email address on your Hero account.
8. Click on the Reset your password link
9. Enter a secure password. A password must have a minimum length of 14 characters, contain upper and lower case characters, at least one number and at least one special character. Verify this password by entering it again, then click SUBMIT
10. A six digit verification code will be sent to your email address. Locate the email in your inbox and open to obtain the code.
11. Copy and paste or type the code into the Multi-factor Verification Code screen. When this is successful, you will be logged into Hero.
12. If you fail to find the code, you are able to click Resend once it has finished counting down. A new code will be sent. Either code can be used to verify your log in within 10 minutes of it being sent.
13. If the email address was incorrect and you need to switch users, click the email address at the top of the Multi-factor Verification Code dialogue box, click switch account and start the process again.
14. To log into Hero the next time, enter your staff email address, click NEXT, then enter your chosen password. Click SUBMIT.
15. The MFA code security process will be repeated each time you log in. If you have logged in to the Hero mobile App, the 6-digit verification code will be sent via a push notification to your mobile device.
