Adding Hail Website and Newsletter Links to the Hero App

Your school is able to add navigation links to other webpages, including Hail, from your app landing page.

TO ADD A LINK TO YOUR HAIL WEBSITE

1. Navigate to the Administration menu. If you have a wide-screen device this will already be visible on the left-hand side of your screen. If not, click on the site administrator menu icon at the top left-hand side of your screen

2. Under the heading Options select School App Options

3. Scroll down to the section titled Links.

4. In the School Website field, add the URL for your school's Hail website

5. Click the Save icon

TO ADD A LINK TO YOUR PUBLISHED HAIL NEWSLETTER

When you have finished preparing your school newsletter, follow these instructions to add your newsletter to the Hero app. 

1.  Publish your Hail newsletter. 

2.  Select Copy as highlighted below.  This will copy the published URL (web address) ready for you to add to the Hero app

3. Open Hero and navigate to the Administration menu. If you have a wide-screen device this will already be visible on the left-hand side of your screen. If not, click on the site administrator menu icon at the top left-hand side of your screen

4. Under the heading Options select School App Options

5. Scroll down to the section titled Links.

6. Paste the newsletter URL into the Hail Link field

Note: You will need to repeat this process every time you create and want to share a newsletter via the Hero App.

7. Click the Save icon

8. Once you have clicked Save you can view what your parents and caregivers will see on the app by scrolling back up to the top of the page
