Assessment data for SMART can be imported in bulk for your students by a staff member with administration access using the Import Assessment Data function.
UPLOADING ASSESSMENT DATA
1. Download a .csv file of your assessment data from SMART.
Rename the file to include the word "SMART". Don't open the file to make any changes.
Note: In order for the import to identify a SMART file, the filename of the .csv file must contain the word "SMART" i.e. "SMART-asssessment-data", or "smart assessment" (this is not case sensitive).
If creating your .csv manually, you must ensure that the file matches this format
2. In HERO, click Assessment Data (Grades) under Import in the Administration Hub
3. Select your assessment data file to upload either by dragging it into the Drop here box or by clicking browse to find it on your computer.
If you wish to change the file to upload, click REMOVE and then choose a new file as above
Click NEXT
4. Select the name of the assessment you are uploading from the drop down list. As this list includes all assessments in your Hero site, start typing to narrow down to the SMART assessment.
5. The next view will show you the mapping of the .csv data to the Hero assessment modules:
Modules will automatically map where matches are found, which should be the case for this file. If matches are not found, you will need to select the available module to map your data to.
If you do not see the modules that you are trying to upload, check you have selected the correct assessment or edit the assessment to include the correct modules. See the help article Editing an Existing Assessment
Click NEXT.
6. The next screen verifies the mapping of the specific grades in the .csv file with the grade schedules of the Hero assessment. Grades will automatically map where matches are found, which should be the case for this file. If matches are not found you will need to map to available grade options.
Verify the mapping of grade options and click NEXT.
7. The import will process and confirm how many grades were added in total.
8. Click DONE
You can now view this assessment data for your students individually in their Assessment Overview or as a group through Assessment Snapshots and Progress Snapshots
Note: you must have your school term dates set for the date for which your historic data has been entered in order for it to be displayed in the correct term on your students. See Setting your School's Term Dates and Closed Days
