Hero has the ability to store both school and student owned medications along with the ability to manage stock levels and expiry details. These features support Hero's strong focus on student wellbeing.
When medications are added to Hero, the batch expiry date is recorded. A scheduled task runs overnight that will scan the expiry date on all medications held and report to a designated user if a medication has expired or is about to expire.
TO SET UP THE EXPIRY DATE ALERT PARAMETERS
1. Navigate to the Administration menu > Medication Options
2. Decide at what stage to send the alert for medications nearing expiry (i.e. Number of days before the expiry date)
3. Enter the email address(s) of the staff member(s) who will receive the alert. Multiple email addresses can be entered using semi-colon separation.
4. The alert will be sent as an email to the designated staff members.
