Hero has the ability to store both school and student owned medications along with the ability to manage stock levels and expiry details. These features support Hero's strong focus on student wellbeing.
It is the requirement of the NSW Department of Education for all schools to hold a minimum level of school owned Autoinjectors and General Use Asthma Inhalers. When these medications are administered or discontinued an immediate alert will be provided if the quantity held falls below these minimum levels.
It is also necessary to be aware if student or other school stock is no longer available in order to notify the caregiver. A scheduled task will run overnight and send an alert to the designated alert email if student or school stock falls to zero.
TO SET UP THE MINIMUM STOCK LEVELS REQUIRED
1. Navigate to the Administration menu > Medication Options
2. Enter the required minimum stock levels for Standard Autoinjectors, Junior Autoinjectors and General Use Asthma Inahlers.
3. Enter the email address(s) of the staff member(s) who will receive the alert. Multiple email addresses can be entered using semi-colon separation.
4. When stock is administered that causes the quantity to fall below the above limits, this alert will be sent as an email to the designated staff members.
5. A visible alert will also be displayed in the Administration menu.
MONITORING STUDENT STOCK LEVELS
A scheduled task runs overnight that will scan the quantity for all medications held and report to the designated email addresses if a medication has zero stock available.
